Jay is the strict but warm member of Araysia who moves in during the teen chapter of the game. Jay is a bit of a bookworm, and is often perceived to be a rather difficult person to get along with, as he prefers cleaning and cooking to anything else. He's an avid fan of visual novels, though he can't find himself lost in any romances. HIn general, Jay is a sweet, calm and gentle guy, but he hides a secret that he holds close to his heart, so if you grow closer to him, perhaps you can discover what it is?
Major change to Jay is that he's no longer British. We're posting this in congratulations to John U. for his birthday and for becoming a part of the team yesterday :) I know I've been doing a lot of small updates, but I feel that it's easier on me to do these, and it helps you guys know that I'm not just ignoring CD :P

Quick Updates:
Tristan's face spriteI'm REALLY REALLY Sorry about this guys... I wanted to revamp Tristan from the original design since it was so... bland. I REALLY tried. I felt that it diverged too far from the Tristan I knew. But I figured It'd be nice to share anyway... it's not really something I'm looking for input on, since I know it's not how I envision the character. I may be using this hairstyle for someone else, but it felt too visual novel non-21st century era hairstyle. I feel like he looks way too much like Laito from Diabolik lovers (Which SO was not my intention.) though I absolutely love the direction that it took, but it's really not Tristan. I will reveal what it looks like, but it kind of really sucks. It really doesn't fit... I'm either going to use this as his child sprite or re-draw all together. 心 (Kokoro = Heart)Now, I didn't want to pull anymore Japanese words out of my hat, but this one really counted. I take a lot of culture classes, and one of them was Japanese religion. When we talked about 'kokoro', I realized that it was so much more than 'heart'. So therefore, character hearts are also better known by this term. Now character hearts are really important: - they carry information (i.e. Crushes, location, feelings, friendship) - They carry dialogue - They are basically everything that makes up an NPC So basically, tons of AI in the game = tons of dialogue (yay?) I've spent the last half hour writing the entirety of Andy's dialogue for his crush dialogue route, and soon I'll be on his child and regular dialogue. *Stress* So basically: Love interests have 11 relationship levels Main Girls have 10 Relationship Levels Other characters have 5 relationship levels ALL kids/pre-teens have 5 relationship levels. Each level has 4 sets of dialogue. At the end of each route, you can actually start having conversations to raise LP or just to find out things about people in town. So, Andy is complete! His dialogue is okay until the final crush levels, in which they're actually pretty funny (He randomly ignores you at times. He's a bit of a jerk.) but he's not very romantic, as I've found with Andy. Re-acquaint yourself with the boys of Shift the Tide.Max Destiny "The tighter he pulled me in, the more I realized that he wasn't just the kid next door anymore. He was a man. I want to deny it, but it resonates too fast. I wanted to reach him, but now that is to be a far dream." "I'll never forget you" "With those words alone, my heart dropped. I wasn't just losing the man I had grown to love, but also my best friend." Andy Valitrov "His eyes are soft and hopeful. I know he didn't mean to hurt me... But somehow I can't forget." Gage Knight "His smile remains." "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." "He pulls me in to his chest, I can hear him breathing softly but hardly." "Please forgive me." CheyenneI'm a total dork who writes too much all the time because I like typing and I used to write novel-length stories and I'm just a weird person who does some things and breathes and stuff. Archives
